Piezography®
Piezography, also known as carbon pigment inkjet printing, is a monochrome black-and-white printing process that works with five to seven gray ink gradations. The process was first introduced by Jon Cone in 2000 and has developed ever since. The inks are made from pure carbon pigments, which gives the prints exceptional longevity. Thanks to the fine gradation of the inks, a resolution and impression of analogue prints is achieved that is not possible with any other inkjet printing process.
We are printing with the Piezography-Pro inks on glossy and matte papers.
Every inkjetpaper we linearize and therefore a custom made curve is used to achieve the best result for ink and paper. We have several Japanese inkjet-papers in our collection.
The Piezography-Pro inks give us the option of combining warm and cold tone to vary the hue of the print. In this way countless colour nuances can be achieved in highlights, midtones and shadows.

Digital negatives
We also print digital negatives with these same inks on Pictorico Ultra Premium Transparency Film.
In this way, a digital file can be printed on transparency film and be used for contact processes like platinum/palladium, silver gelatin and cyanotype. Thousands of shades of gray can be mapped into the negative, resulting in unsurpassed reproduction.
